Yesterday after work I made a bit of a discovery. The door to the roof of my apartment building that is normally locked has been left open. Now I can’t begin to explain why I randomly walked to the top of the building yesterday, something I haven’t done for probably six months…but I did, and that small distancing from my normal routine really paid off.
With a recent rain, a good portion of the roof was covered with a thin pool of water, which near sunset bounced light around for some really nice effects. Crisscrossing the whole span are PVC pipes training each unit’s cable line. It was really a great surprise to find this place—a great view—however the sunset photos taken from my deck have just been completely usurped.
It’s pretty clear what my lesson learned here is—in routine you find routine—outside of that (no matter how little) is where the adventure begins.
